Supply and installation of water pipes going from the fire water pumps to the foam pumping stations located at both ends of the Gatun Locks. The pipes are cement lined carbon steel protected with military spec epoxy coatings. For the installation, the existing pits on each side of the locks were used, descending to a depth of 30 meters and crossing under the locks through tunnels originally designed for the passage of electrical and mechanical utilities.
